Description
This is a story about the complex emotional entanglements between a single mother and her child. Below is the background setting provided by the client for reference in my creative process.
The client for this commission is a single mother who is raising an 8-year-old rebellious son on her own. Due to her husband's long-term absence, she pours all her love and attention into her child, developing an almost pathological form of excessive maternal affection. This love gradually spills over the boundaries of ethics, creating an unsettling yet tension-filled emotional entanglement that evokes both sympathy and a complex emotional impact.
Her son often demands that she play the role of characters from anime, such as Rei Hino (Sailor Mars), while he takes on the role of a villain. In their repeated "battles," the child always "defeats" her, forcing her to assume various humiliating poses of surrender. To boost her son's confidence, she chooses to comply, but behind this compliance lies deep shame and conflicting emotions, making one feel heartbroken for her situation.
To fulfill her son's fantasies, she wears Rei Hino's sailor uniform while doing household chores and helping with homework. Though she is beautiful, her figure is not suited for such tight-fitting clothing. The overly short skirt and constricting top keep her in a constant state of embarrassment. Nevertheless, she persists, and this contradictory blend of sensuality and shyness creates a striking visual contrast that leaves a lasting impression.
Her son often launches sudden "attacks" on her without warning, mimicking a villain's assault. As an instinctive reaction, she habitually raises her thigh to "defend" herself, but this often backfires, exposing even more embarrassing postures. As her son grows older, the boundaries of this "game" become increasingly excessive, leaving her feeling helpless and uneasy. Yet, she finds herself unable to refuse her child's requests, and this struggle between resistance and submission evokes both pity and a complex mix of emotions.
Due to the child's lack of a father figure and the resulting sense of insecurity, she and her son have never slept in separate rooms. At night, the child habitually buries his head in her chest, even instinctively making suckling motions at her nipple. She feels deeply unsettled but cannot bear to push him away. The child's unconscious actions trigger involuntary physical responses in her body. She tries to suppress her impulses by clamping her thighs around the child, but the friction from the child's playful movements between her thighs and the stimulation at her nipple ultimately bring her to climax. The child, not yet sexually mature, does not understand the meaning of her trembling body, while she struggles between shame and pleasure, her emotions in turmoil due to this stark contrast.
This commission aims to delicately portray, through a third-person perspective, the contradictory psychology of this single mother as she navigates the boundary between maternal love and ethical limits. Her compliance and sacrifices seem to be for her child's sake, yet they unintentionally give rise to uncontrollable emotional and physical responses marked by striking contrasts.
